The “struggling artist” identity isn’t serving you.
It’s time to thrive.
The life of an artist doesn’t have to be one of struggle. The Thriving Artist Club is here to support you and show you there is a better way.
Do you struggle with knowing what to eat to have enough energy for classes or performances without feeling bloated?
Do you struggle with having enough energy, stamina and endurance to get through a performance week without feeling depleted?
Do you allow self-doubt, lack of confidence, and overthinking to get in the way of your unique, artistic gifts?
Are you constantly injured and fatigued?
Do you feel anxious, uninspired and burnt out?
What if you could do things differently?
What if you could be injury and ailment free?
What if you could learn to cope with the stresses of performing?
What if you could feel energised and inspired everyday, and love the body you are in?
Here’s the thing.
The life of an artist doesn’t need to be a life of struggle and hustle.
That is a limited way of thinking, and that isn’t YOU.
You deserve to show up as your best self and perform and create at your highest level.
You are whole, capable, worthy and deserving of achieving your biggest, wildest goals.
As artists, we are fully committed to our goals.
But this commitment often comes at a price.
We strive every day for perfection that doesn’t exist.
We are pressured to maintain unrealistic body standards without being taught how to do so safely.
We neglect our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health in an effort to be at the top of our game.
We set unrealistically high standards for ourselves, then relentlessly beat ourselves up for falling short.
Afraid of letting ourselves or others down, we often push through pain, fatigue and illness.
Because our industry is often glamourised, we feel guilty for feeling anything but gratitude.
We become chameleons–good at putting on a show for others and powering through, while neglecting how we really feel.
We feel guilty for even wanting to take a break, so we often burn ourselves out.
Despite how hard we work, we often have trouble seeing how extraordinary we really are.
Does this sound like you?
As a professional dancer, I struggled with all of these issues and I know all too well how the mind affects the body, and the body affects the mind.
I often pushed through pain and injury so I wouldn’t let others down.
I worked hard and burnt myself out because deep down I felt like I wasn’t good enough to be where I was and constantly questioned my talent and worth.
I am here to provide you with support and to show you that there is a better way.
